Farid Bazger is the form of name used by Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazger for his first Canadian publication for children. Bazger grew up in Afghanistan and received medical education at the University of Kabul. Now living in Toronto, Bazger has a long career in healthcare including addiction treatment, and a decades long involvement as a translator and editor of children’s books. He was a cultural advisor for HOOPOE Books for more than fifteen years.
