Ronald D. Besse Information and Learning Commons, 2nd Floor
Access to maps and geospatial and social science digital data together with related support services is a prominent feature of the Ronald D. Besse Information and Learning Commons. Library staff provide assistance with accessing and manipulating geospatial and social science data from a number of sources including Statistics Canada. These support services are usually available during regular office hours, Monday to Friday. The Data and GIS Technician’s office is located in the Geospatial, Map and Data Centre at the north end of the Besse Commons. Four high-end workstations in the Centre have several GIS-specific applications installed, including ArcGIS, ArcView and MapInfo. For a more detailed description of data and services provided by the Centre, visit the Geospatial, Map & Data Centre website.
