Long-term Loans for Faculty and Graduate Students

All faculty and graduate students have 120 day loans for regular circulating 3-week books only with the option for 4 renewals. Many faculty and graduate students have indicated that they would like to have longer loan periods due to the nature of their academic work, and without the requirement to continually renew items.

Long-term loans will only apply to items in the regular circulating collection, and excludes 7-day loans, items on reserve, and the Audio-Visual collection. Long-term loans will still be subject to holds and recalls.

The Library hopes that long-term loans will support the teaching and research needs of faculty and graduate students.

Maximum Items Borrowed

For full and part-time students, faculty, and staff there is no limit placed on the number of books that may be borrowed from the main collection; restrictions are placed on items from the Reserve and Audio Visual collections.

Alumni, borrowers from other universities, and external borrowers may borrow a maximum of 10 items.
