Recalled Material

The Library has the right to recall any Library material, including extended 120 day faculty and graduate student loans. The most common reason for a Recall is that another person is waiting for the title.  You will receive an email when one of your titles has been recalled.

Reduction of Loan Periods

The 120 day loan periods will be reduced to a minimum of 28 days if a hold is placed on an item. After this initial period, items must be returned within 3 days. All other items recalled must be returned within 1 week, or by the new due date, whichever is earlier.

Fines for Recalled Titles

For materials that do not usually incur fines (books from the 5th-10th floors), fines will be levied after the new due date.  Fines will be doubled for all other items not returned after the recall date has passed.
