In 2013, Toronto Metropolitan University Library and Archives (RULA) came to the end of Building on Success: Strategic Plan 2009–2013 – a period of unprecedented growth and success. In Fall 2014, a Strategic Planning Working Group was appointed, chaired by Gillian Byrne, Associate Chief Librarian.
The strategic planning process was a time to seek out and harness the creativity of our many stakeholders, extending well beyond the Working Group. RULA welcomed the robust participation of the entire community at all stages of the process, from scheduled events to individual input. The strong participation of our campus and community partners was critical to this process, and any input you can provided was very much appreciated. In early 2015, the Strategic Planning Working Group published a comprehensive plan for the library’s future: From Repository to Collaboratory: Investing in Connections, Content, and Communities.
