An Evening with Lenin

A movie night featuring two biographical films from the Library’s Special Collections about Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, made in Soviet-era Russia for Soviet audiences. Come and see the movies, learn how Ryerson acquired them and discuss their importance to the public archive.

Place: 350 Victoria Street, Room LIB72 (ground floor, across from entrance)
Date: Wednesday, April 7th
Time: 7pm, approximately 2 hours

The Films:
Lenin is Alive, 1969
30 minutes, Russian (with English subtitles)
Lenin’s Hills, 1984
20 minutes, Russian (with English subtitles)

Colour Photocopying @ the Library

Colour photocopying is now available in the Library. One machine (pictured) is located towards the rear of the Learning Commons on the main floor and the other machine is on the 5th floor beside the change machine. Colour photocopies cost 28 cents each. More information about photocopying is available on our photocopying page.

Open House Netbook Winner

IEEE Xplore Upgrades

Sneak Peek Video On Saturday February 13, IEEE Xplore will be launching a new website. Designed to make searching for and finding relevant research easier and faster, the new interface includes several important customer-requested enhancements. New features will include:

100,000 ebooks Now Available

Over 100,000 ebooks covering a wide variety of subject areas are now available from the Library. They can be found by searching the catalogue, browsing the individual ebooks collections (Scholars Portal Books, PsycBooks, Safari Tech Books Online, Oxford Reference Online, Knovel, EngNetBase and more) or by searching:

Off-campus users will be asked to sign in with their my.ryerson account to use most ebooks.

Discover Computing Services @ Ryerson

Learn all about Ryerson’s Computing services and everything it has to offer you to succeed. Discover tips and tricks in this hands-on workshop that covers email, printing, wireless services, virtual applications (for example, accessing Microsoft Office from home) and effective use of the computer labs on campus. All workshops are free but you do need to register for each workshop.
