Laser Cutter
Use this service to rapidly cut or etch designs into approved materials like wood or acrylic.
With our AEON Mira 7S laser cutter, the DME offers beginner-friendly laser cutting services to all TMU Libraries' users. After attending a hands-on training session, the Mira 7S offers learners a safe way to subtractively manufacture (e.g. cut away) materials from sheet goods.

With this service, learners can get a hands-on experience of what it’s like to go behind the counter and operate a laser cutting machine. From design to execution, the DME’s beginner friendly orientation will guide you through the steps to turn a digital design into a physical object. With the support of DME staff, learners can transform wood, acrylic and even cardboard into keychains, prototypes, props and more.
