International Standard Book Numbers (ISBNs) for publications published at Toronto Metropolitan University are available from the Library. To request an ISBN, please email the Copyright and Scholarly Communications Librarian, aludbrook@torontomu.ca.
What publications are eligible?
- Publications released through a Toronto Metropolitan University department or institute are eligible for a TMU ISBN.
- Items published by anyone other than TMU are NOT eligible. In these cases, your publisher should provide you with an ISBN
Legal Deposit
Obtaining an ISBN from the Library does NOT mean that copies of your book are automatically deposited with Library and Archives Canada. You are legally required to send two copies of your book, pamphlet, etc. to Library and Archives Canada.
