Historical Topographic Map Digitization Project
The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) Historical Topographic Map Digitization Project is a province-wide collaboration to inventory, digitize, georeference, and provide broad access to early topographic maps of Ontario. The collection provides open access to georeferenced topographic maps at the 1:25,000 and 1:63,360 (one inch to one mile) scales, covering towns, cities, and rural areas in Ontario over the period of 1906 to 1977.

Historical National Topographic System (NTS): 1:50,000
This collection provides open access to digitized historical NTS maps at the 1:50,000 scale, covering towns, cities, and rural areas in Canada over the period of 1948 to the early 21st century.
The Maps collection currently contains nearly 22,000 Canadian maps digitized from the 1:50,000 scale National Topographic Series. The maps date from 1905 to 2012 and cover all of the Canadian provinces and territories.

US Topographic Maps – topoView
The maps available through topoView are from the USGS US Topo series (both current and non-current) as well as the Historical Topographic Map Collection (HTMC). The HTMC is a digital repository of all scales and all editions of USGS printed topographic maps that is publicly accessible at no cost.
