Introduction to Web Accessibility
by Digital Education Strategies, The Chang School
With raised awareness and accessibility laws emerging around the world, understanding what inclusive access to the Web means is becoming necessary knowledge for anyone who produces digital content. Much of the current information on Web accessibility requires some technical understanding, and may be difficult to consume for the average person. This book will “interpret” the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), to make it easier to understand for a general audience. You will have an opportunity to experience barriers firsthand, then experience that content with the barriers removed, developing a practical understanding of web accessibility.

Pop-up Retail Strategies in an Omni-Channel Context
by Hong Yu, Sean Sedlezky, Ken Wong, Tony Hernandez, Pauline Larsen, and Gay Stephenson
Pop-up shops are temporary stores that “pop up” for a few days or months. They are a new form of retail operations that have gained popularity in the past decade. Retailers and brands of all sizes have implemented pop-up shops – from global and national retail chains, to small independent stores and even e-commerce pure players – that have positioned these initiatives as a marketing & communication tool, as incubators to test a market and/or new products, or as inventory liquidation venues. Pop-up shops have also been established as a solution for revitalizing communities where significant storefront vacancies exist.

Digital Photography for Graphic Communications
by Richard Adams and Reem el Asaleh, Martin Habekost, Jason Lisi, Art Seto
Digital Photography for Graphic Communications is based on a 2009 print book by the authors that was called Digital Photography for Print and published by the Printing Industries of America (PIA) Press.
The authors realize that graphic communications management has expanded to include a multitude of media in addition to print, especially the web and apps. Thus we decided to revise the original book with a more inclusive title. Since digital cameras have mostly replaced colour scanners, graphic communicators need to capture images for use in magazines, catalogs, brochures, packages, signs, banners—all forms of printed materials—and also for eBooks, web sites, and apps.
