2024 Library OER Grant Winners

Congratulations to Charlotte Lee, Kateryna  Metersky, Chris MacDonald and Lee Eldridge on receiving 2024 Open Education Resource (OER) Library Grants.

The successful projects include:

Enhancing the Student-Preceptor Relationship: Improving Feedback Processes in Nursing Education Using Virtual Simulation, led by Charlotte Lee.
This project will address the needs of nursing students and preceptors by developing a virtual gaming simulation (VGS) to enhance the student-preceptor feedback process in clinical placements.

Preparing Undergraduate Nursing Students of Licensing Examination Success: Redevelopment of Existing Nursing Theory OERs, led by Kateryna Metersky
This project will redevelop of two OERs used in Year 2 nursing theory courses (PPN 201 and PPN 202) to create Next Generation National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurses (NGN) style questions to accompany weekly case studies.

Modernizing Wealth of Nations, led by Chris MacDonald
Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations will be annotated to include an online glossary of terms.

Pixel Perfect: Transforming Images with Photoshop, led by Lee Eldridge
An existing text will be revised with diverse and inclusive examples, incorporating key lecture information and updated content for greater accessibility. The new text will be licensed as an OER.
