The HRDEM consists of a Digital Terrain Model (DTM), a Digital Surface Model (DSM) and others derived data.\u00a0\u00a0 This first release covers 106,000\u00a0km<sup>2<\/sup><span class=\"m_-3949205241712587898m_-5123363329051905156m_3483759477969818181apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>(3%) of the 3.5 million km<sup>2<span class=\"m_-3949205241712587898m_-5123363329051905156m_3483759477969818181apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/sup>planned for the Canadian southern territory, and includes areas in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Manitoba.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">This new product is generated from airborne LiDAR data acquired in partnership with provinces and territories to provide high accuracy data with minimum distortion.\u00a0 The HRDEM is part of the CanElevation collection created in support of the National Elevation Strategy implemented by Natural Resources Canada.\u00a0 This strategy aims to increase Canada\u2019s coverage of high-resolution elevation data and increase product accessibility.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">For more details consult the<span class=\"m_-3949205241712587898m_-5123363329051905156m_3483759477969818181apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ftp.maps.canada.ca\/pub\/elevation\/dem_mne\/highresolution_hauteresolution\/HRDEM_Product_Specification.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">product specifications<\/a>.
