Use of these data is subject to the <a href=\"https:\/\/open.canada.ca\/en\/open-government-licence-implementation-guidelines\">Open Government Licence \u2013 Canada<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Natural Resources Canada<\/h4>\n<p><a title=\"GeoGratis\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/earth-sciences\/geography\/topographic-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GeoGratis<\/a> is a portal provided by the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) which provides geospatial data such as satellite images, scanned topographic maps (National Topopgraphic System), the Atlas of Canada, Land Inventory and more&#8230; Geogratis now contains <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geobase.ca\">GeoBase<\/a> &#8211; a federal, provincial and territorial government initiative that is overseen by the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). GeoBase supports the provision of, and access to, a common, up-to-date and maintained base of quality geospatial data for all of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/ftp.geogratis.gc.ca\/pub\/nrcan_rncan\/vector\/index\/html\/geospatial_product_index_en.html\">GeoGratis Product Index<\/a> allows you visualize and download files via an online mapping application.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/geogratis.gc.ca\/api\/en\">View the GeoGratis Catalogue<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Natural Resources Canada - Earth Sciences\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/earth-sciences\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Natural Resources Canada &#8211; Earth Sciences<\/a> &#8211; NRCan\u2019s fundamental earth science, geography and geospatial information. Provides access to data such as <a title=\"Satellite Imagery and Air Photos\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/earth-sciences\/geomatics\/satellite-imagery-air-photos\/10782\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Satellite Imagery and Air Photos<\/a>, <a title=\"Topographic Data\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/earth-sciences\/geography\/topographic-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Topographic Data<\/a> and <a title=\"Earth Sciences Data\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/earth-sciences\/resources\/data\/10788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Earth Sciences Data<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geobase.ca\/geobase\/en\/data\/nhn\/index.html\">National Hydro Network (NHN)<\/a> describes and models features of the inland surface-water system of Canada. 287 watersheds are available accounting for about 20% of the Canadian landmass.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"CanFI - Data and Tools\" href=\"https:\/\/nfi.nfis.org\/data_and_tools.php?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canada&#8217;s National Forest Inventory (CanFI)<\/a> Provides access to Canada&#8217;s National Forest Inventory information through services that have been developed in collaboration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfis.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Forest Information System<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Climate Change Data\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/environment\/resources\/data\/11017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Climate Change Data<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Hazards Data\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/hazards\/resources\/hazards-data\/10663\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hazards Data<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"The North\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/the-north\/resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The North<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Environment Canada<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Water Survey of Canada - Hydrometric Data\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ec.gc.ca\/rhc-wsc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Water Survey of Canada &#8211; Hydrometric Data<\/a> &#8211; This website features stream discharge and water level data for Canada. It also allows you to access archived hydrometric data from HYDAT for stations of interest by specifying the search criteria such as the Station Name or Station Number.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrcan.gc.ca\/energy\/renewable-electricity\/wind\/7323\">Canadian Wind Energy Atlas<\/a> This site features colour maps representing the average wind velocity and power in Canada, procedures for generating different simulation maps, and a download section where data files are used to create custom simulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"CanSIS\" href=\"http:\/\/sis.agr.gc.ca\/cansis\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Soil Information Service (CanSIS)<\/a> Provides access to data such as the <a title=\"National Soil Database (NSDB)\" href=\"http:\/\/sis.agr.gc.ca\/cansis\/nsdb\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Soil Database (NSDB)<\/a> and <a title=\"Soil Surveys\" href=\"http:\/\/sis.agr.gc.ca\/cansis\/nsdb\/dss\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detailed Soil Surveys<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Statistics Canada<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Statistics Canada - Boundary File Download\" href=\"http:\/\/www12.statcan.gc.ca\/census-recensement\/2011\/geo\/bound-limit\/bound-limit-eng.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Statistics Canada<\/a>\u00a0 (2011, 2006, 2001) Cartographic and Digital Boundary files available for download \u2013 Formats include ESRI shapefile (.shp) and MapInfo TAB\u00a0 (.tab) \u2013 Public Access<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Health Region Boundary Files\" href=\"http:\/\/www.statcan.gc.ca\/pub\/82-402-x\/2013003\/reg-eng.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health Region Boundary Files\u00a0<\/a> are available for free download in ArcView, MapInfo, and ArcInfo formats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Climate<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/climate.weather.gc.ca\/climate_normals\/index_e.html\">Canadian Climate Normals &amp; Averages 1981-2010<\/a> Climate normals or averages are used to summarize or describe the average climatic conditions of a particular location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Ontario Provincial Government<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/geohub.lio.gov.on.ca\/datasets\/mnrf::historic-bathymetry-maps?geometry=-93.043%2C42.794%2C-63.886%2C48.179\">Ontario GeoHub<\/a> Is a tool created by OMNR which allows you to browse scanned (but not georeferenced) bathymetry maps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/watershed-flow-assessment-tool#section-0\">Ontario &#8211; Watershed flow assessment tool<\/a> This tool is used to calculate information about Ontario\u2019s watersheds, which are areas of land where surface water converges to a single point.
