The Isaac Olowolafe Jr. Digital Media Experience Lab is a library learning space open to all <\/strong>TMU creators. At the DME, students, staff, and faculty create content using new and emerging creative technologies. The DME operates as a peer-led experiential learning space designed to support library creators who learn through doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting the Lab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The DME Lab is a spacious, accessible library space located in SLC 308. Most of our services<\/a> are offered on a drop-in basis, but 3D Printing and Laser Cutting need a booking outside of morning walk-in hours.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Who can use the DME Lab?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

TMU students*, staff, and faculty members can access the DME (SLC 308) year-round. Be sure to check our current operating hours<\/a> and workshop offerings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you working on a creative project but graduating soon? Graduating students have full access to DME resources, including complementary 3D printing filament, up until their convocation ceremony. Afterwards, new alumni can register into workshops and book equipment up until August 28, 2026. Outside of workshops, alumni learners will need to bring in their own consumables (e.g., 3D printing filament). Please contact dme-advising@torontomu.ca for additional information about this new initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
