How much can I copy from a journal or a book?<\/a>
\nCan I request an entire issue of a journal through interlibrary loan (ILL)?<\/a>
\nCan I request an article from another university’s online collection through interlibrary loan?<\/a>
\nCan you deliver online ILL articles to my desktop?<\/a>
\nDo I need permission to link to a website?\u00a0<\/a>
\nCan I digitize materials for assignments and projects?<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a>How much can I copy from a journal or a book?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Under the\u00a0TMU Fair Dealing Guideline<\/a>\u00a0you can copy up to 10% of a published work, OR an article from a print journal issue OR\u00a0one chapter from a book. Remember the copying should not\u00a0exceed a reasonable amount\u00a0of a work. You cannot copy a whole journal issue or an entire book.<\/p>\n

Please note that fair dealing applies to\u00a0the purposes of private study, research, news reporting and criticism, education and satire or parody.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Can I request an\u00a0entire<\/em>\u00a0issue<\/em>\u00a0of a journal through interlibrary loan?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

No.\u00a0 According to\u00a0the Exceptions for Libraries, Archives and Museums<\/a>, you can only request\u00a0a single reprographic copy<\/em>\u00a0(paper and non electronic) of an entire article published in a newspaper or a periodical for research and private study. There are also other limits:-<\/p>\n
