Pushpa Raj Acharya (Pushparaj Acharya) grew up in Nepal and moved to Canada in 2012. Acharya’s first collection of poetry was published in Kathmandu by Fine Print in 2006, as \u091b\u093e\u092f\u093e \u0915\u093e\u0932<\/em>, \u00a0Ch\u0101y\u0101 K\u0101la\u00a0<\/em>(or\u00a0Chaya Kal<\/em>),\u00a0\u201cThe Shadow Time. ” This Nepali language work, illustrated by Anup Baral, is out of print. Acharya recently made it available to readers as a PDF document<\/a>. Acharya worked as a professional translator and interpreter in Nepal from 2006-2012. His publisher Mawenzi House note that he has written screenplays for films and made documentaries on art, culture, and food. Acharya is also a literary scholar and has taught in universities in Canada and Nepal. He earned a PhD in Comparative Literature and South Asian Studies from the University of Toronto in 2022. His dissertation is entitled The Nation-State of Nepal in Nepali and Anglophone Novels<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
