She is an award winning director, dramaturge, and playwright. Some of her monologues have appeared in anthologies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/torontomu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/fulldisplay?vid=01OCUL_TMU:01OCUL_TMU&#038;docid=alma991000830479708636\">Beyond the Pale<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/torontomu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/fulldisplay?vid=01OCUL_TMU:01OCUL_TMU&#038;docid=alma991004564219708636\">She Speaks<\/a>. Aquino is also the editor of two collections of plays by Asian Canadians (<a href=\"https:\/\/torontomu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/fulldisplay?vid=01OCUL_TMU:01OCUL_TMU&#038;docid=alma991010853019708636\"><em>Love + relAsianships<\/em><\/a>), and co-edited a the work of criticism <a href=\"https:\/\/torontomu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/fulldisplay?vid=01OCUL_TMU:01OCUL_TMU&#038;docid=alma991004457529708636\"><em>Asian Canadian Theatre<\/em><\/a>. Aquino earned a bachelor degree in drama at the University of Guelph and a masters degree in theatre from the University of Toronto.
