Rashid began dividing his time between London, England, and Canada in 1991, and by the late 1990s he had settled in Bristol. In addition to poetry, Rashid writes criticism, screenplays, and television drama. <em><span class=\"bold\">Touch of Pink<\/span><\/em>, Rashid&#8217;s debut as writer-director of a feature film, was released by Alliance Atlantis in 2004.
