Kwai-yun Li was born to Chinese parents in Calcutta, India. She grew up in the old part of the city known as Chattawalla Gully where many of the ethnic Chinese lived. Li immigrated to Canada in 1972 through an arranged marriage and now lives in Toronto. She is a certified general accountant and works part-time in that field while pursuing additional studies and writing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
