She earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in nursing from Douglas College. Her short stories, poetry and feminist writings have appeared in many journals and anthologies. She illustrated Paul Yee&#8217;s juvenile novel <em>Teach Me How to Fly, Skyfighter<\/em>.
