She is an M.F.A. graduate from the Creative Writing Program at the University of British Columbia. The title story from her first book, <em><span class=\"bold\">Baby Khaki&#8217;s Wings<\/span><\/em>, was one of the stories shortlisted for the Journey Prize and published in\u00a0<em><span class=\"bold\">The Journey Prize Stories 16<\/span><\/em> in 2004.
