Iqbal Ahmad was born in Agra, India in 1921. He taught English literature at universities in India and Pakistan before moving to Canada in 1964. His Ph.D. thesis completed in 1974 at York University in Toronto is entitled: Northrop Frye’s Theoretical Criticism<\/span>. Ahmad taught English literature at the University of Waterloo and at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. From 1983-84 he served as the first president of the Ontario Society of Pakistani Canadian Professionals & Academics. Ahmad died in October 1993.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
