She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph. Golshan is a sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto, Scarborough, where she teaches creative non-fiction writing. Golshan&#8217;s roots are Teochew Chinese and Iranian. Her short documentary film KAR (2019) features her father, Mohammad, an emigrant from Iran who made a living in Canada as taxi driver and later as a driving instructor.
