Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) Tour of the Archives & Special Collections<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, July 14th, 2023, the Archives & Special Collections held a special tour for the Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG). The tour, spread out in two rooms over the fourth floor, including the Archives & Special Collections reading room, was a sold-out event of over 40 attendees who came to browse our materials on display as well as learn more about the campus and history from Archives & Special Collections staff. Contact us if you would like to do something similar! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the group: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) is the Toronto Chapter of the Archives Association of Ontario. Known as TAAG, this group organizes professional development and social events for Toronto-area archives professionals, including workshops, tours, and social events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Food or Drink in the Archives – an exhibit on food culture and food education (June 7 – August 28, 2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone eats! But please don’t do so in TMU’s Archive and Special Collections. This exhibit showcases the many food and beverage related material held in the collection, including the tableware from the Wellesley Hospital, Kodak Canada promotional mugs, Ryerson student menus, Canadian community cookbooks, and much more! People have always been eating, and what and how they eat can tell us a lot about who they are. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
