Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) Tour of the Archives & Special Collections<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, July 14th, 2023, the Archives & Special Collections held a special tour for the Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG). The tour, spread out in two rooms over the fourth floor, including the Archives & Special Collections reading room, was a sold-out event of over 40 attendees who came to browse our materials on display as well as learn more about the campus and history from Archives & Special Collections staff. Contact us if you would like to do something similar! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the group: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) is the Toronto Chapter of the Archives Association of Ontario. Known as TAAG, this group organizes professional development and social events for Toronto-area archives professionals, including workshops, tours, and social events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada, 2025 (September 3 – 23)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 1984, The Alcuin Society has recognized excellence in book design with a national awards program. For the 2025 awards, The Alcuin Society received 209 entries from 79 publishers located across Canada. Winners were chosen in nine different categories: Children’s picture books; Comics; Limited Editions; Pictorial; Poetry; Prose: Fiction; Prose: Illustrated; Prose: Non-Fiction; and Reference. The TMU Libraries are happy to showcase this year’s winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
