Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) Tour of the Archives & Special Collections<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, July 14th, 2023, the Archives & Special Collections held a special tour for the Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG). The tour, spread out in two rooms over the fourth floor, including the Archives & Special Collections reading room, was a sold-out event of over 40 attendees who came to browse our materials on display as well as learn more about the campus and history from Archives & Special Collections staff. Contact us if you would like to do something similar! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the group: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) is the Toronto Chapter of the Archives Association of Ontario. Known as TAAG, this group organizes professional development and social events for Toronto-area archives professionals, including workshops, tours, and social events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baseball in Toronto (April 1 to April 30, 2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toronto loves Baseball! Come see the history of the sport at Toronto Metropolitan University and in the city. From company recreational softball leagues, to the Major Leagues World Series, the game has shaped Toronto’s cultural landscape and skyline. The exhibit includes photographs of the architect’s models for possible retractable roof stadiums, TMU (then Ryerson) games played at the Canadian National Exhibition Stadium, and some Toronto Blue Jays memorabilia. Spring is Baseball season! Let’s go!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
